Longing for Satisfaction in a Satisfaction Guaranteed World

These days everywhere you look whatever product you buy it reads 'satisfaction guaranteed or your money back'. Promising that if you are not 100% satisfied that you get a 100% return on your investment.

In my opinion people are living the same way in society today; tossing aside marriages because they are not 'satisfied' ;looking to other relationships of any sort for satisfaction; woman obsessing about their outer beauty longing for some sort of satisfaction(I know I am guilty of this one forsure); addictions of all sorts whether it be work or pornography searching for satisfaction.

What is satisfaction anyway? The dictionary describes it as; fulfillment of a need or desire,The pleasure obtained by such fulfillment and the source of such fulfillment.

Where does true satisfaction come from? I have asked myself this question a lot lately. Am I only satisfied when things are going the way I want them in my marriage, life with my kids or my friendships?

I think that if I am constantly looking to others whether it be my husband, my children, my friends, church etc. to help me feel satisfied it will always come up short. The only true satisfaction comes from having a close intimate relationship with the creator Himself, He longs to help fulfill my desires and help me live life to the full and overflowing, He is my source and my only 100% guarantee.

I am coming to the realization more and more everyday that as long as I am walking this road called life walking hand in hand with my creator I will have moments in my life of absolute satisfaction not only in my walk with Him but in my marriage, my family and my friendships as well.

With God I know I will have satisfaction guaranteed in all areas of my life, so I am 'losing my receipt' so to speak and living outloud for the one who made me who I am knowing that I'll never need my money back. After all He already paid the FULL price!!

John 10:10 - Jesus speaking " A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of" The Message Bible

This is excellent Louise. After I finish my "Hour of Prayer" devotions on my Sunday Meditation, I would like to use this. Can I have your permission to use it and I will link it to you!
