When all else fails be thankful....

Do you ever experience those times in your life where everyday blends into the next? Where you get into the routine of life and not that it is a bad thing but it is monotonous. I am not complaining ,I am really enjoying my somewhat new job. I drive in to the big city 3-4 days a week and spend 5 hours in an office with great company, my friend Lisa. I love it I am enjoying the job and it is offering exciting opportunities for the future. But as for life in general it is LIFE.
Tomorrow me and my hubby go to a Marriage workshop for the day and the kiddies go to Oma and Opas for the weekend, that should be good/interesting.
What I do know is that even though all the days may be busy and blending into each other I have so very much to be thankful for.....
Health
Happiness
Peace
A WARM house
Great/Supportive/Kind/Loving Hubby
Awesome kids
An Abundance of Friends
Opportunities to see the world
A new TV(shallow I know ;) )
.......the list could go on and on and I guess that is really what is important after all, that no matter what that I remain thankful.

Have a great weekend bloggie friends.

This Thing We Like To Call 'GEE'...
..

So back in grade 5 my friend Brenda and I met and since then we have shared many memories together one of them happened when we were in about grade 9 and we were being silly and laying on our beds falling off and sticking out our arms making strange noises one of them being"GEEE" (just as it sounds). Since then this has been a joke of ours at totally random times. So when we went on the cruise together we thought ' why not take some pictures together' and ended up doing this pose...here it is....

The photographer laughed and said " Ah yes the proverbial Spider Man Pose" well this made us laugh even more...ahh good times. We did manage to get a 'normal picture' together.

A friend for a lifetime. Even though we may not see each other often when we do we pick up where we left off. I am SO blessed by this girl and her life is a testament to all those around her. Fun is always part of the equation when we are together complete with eye-rolling from our husbands.
Friends are such a blessing and today I am thankful for Brenda...GEE to you babe!!

** at sometime I will tell you all about a very interesting game to play at busy airports during a layover.....stay tuned ;) Brenda taught me!

A tidbit about my trip.....

This one is entitled FRUSTRATED.
SO the week before we left on the cruise I went shopping for the perfect bathing suit, I spent HOURS searching for something I could wear and I finally found something that I actually liked. I packed it and was excited to wear it, I packed an old bathing suit of the same color as well just in case I needed another one. WELL we get to Minneapolis and decide to lighten our load a bit so that we can buy a few things at the other end, so I decided to take out my extra bathing suit and leave it in the vehicle. We arrive on our cruise and I am wanting to head to the spa and begin the search for my bathing suit top and realize...YUP I packed it in the vehicle with my old bathing suit..so here I was with bathing suit bottoms and no top...option number #1 topless all week..UM NOOOO, might get arrested for that, #2 borrow from my friend who is much smaller than me.... Can you say stuffing blimpie into a tube?! LOL #3 go shopping for one....the ship had none and I didn't want to go through the HOURS again while in port. SO here is what I did, I wore a lingerie top as my suit top(which actually was bathing suit material and was stretchy...no worries no lace here!!)....needless to say that most of my pictures have way too much cleavage for my liking....sigh....Tip to all travellers....DO NOT REPACK WHEN YOU HAVE ALREADY LEFT HOME!!!

WARNING:Following is a before and after shot of one of my favorite pictures of the trip at StingRay City in Grand Cayman and how I tried to 'fix' it.....proceed with caution.....sigh...

BEFORE

AND AFTER.....Ahhh much better.....

Home Sweet Home...

We are home from an incredible trip. The Ruby Princess was more than I could have imagined, we were treated like royalty, I mean how many times to you get asked at dinner by your waiter if you'd like seconds of fresh Lobster, Shrimp and King Crab and then crack everything open for you and get the meat out in front of you and allow you to enjoy it...sigh...it was fabulous. (Yes it is always about the food for me ;) )
I got to spend a lot of time alone with Conrad we celebrated our 11th anniversary onboard and spent time with friends of ours. We also met a fabulous couple from England that shared a table at dinner with us about our parent's age and we now have a house all to ourselves for free to stay in England if we decide to travel there, they were super sweet. We got to laugh at all the unique sayings that they have over there that I was using that meant something altogether different than I had imagined...good times.
The ship itself was HUGE, so many different areas to explore and roam, there was movies under the stars outside ,which is a massive tv screen with amazing sound that played movies all day like The new Batman movie, 27 Dresses, U2 concert, Mama Mia and last Sunday the Super Bowl Live..it was amazing..really neat.
Conrad bought Brenda and I a one week pass to the Thermal Spa which again was just a treat and amazing. It consisted of heated marble contoured slabs to lay on, 3 different saunas.( 1 scented, 1 steam, and 1 dry heat with heated slabs to sit on), and 2 tropical showers and they only sold 40 passes for the entire ship so it was never full in there, it was a heavenly escape after a busy day.
All the stops were amazing as well.....Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Bahammas. I have pictures and will post more about our adventures soon.
Till then....I hope you all had a fabulous week!
I will post again soon I hope...have an exam this week and a bit behind :(
