And So it begins.....

Our first snowfall on the ground and all day it has been cold enough to keep it there. I guess this means winter is upon us.

I have a secret.....

I actually really like winter...there I said it! I do get somewhat tired of it by February(but a warm holiday helps that) and then I am eager for spring but right now I like it and I will enjoy it. Finally I feel as though Christmas is around the corner and I can get my shopping done, and I can listen to Christmas music, my hubby has been playing that for at least a week now on piano.
What are your thoughts on winter?? for those living with snow and those of my friends in a warmer climate, what do you enjoy about it?

And something on a side note, I completed a really LARGE canvas for my home. It is 3 feet by 4 feet approximately( I think) and it hangs by my table, it was meant to go above my stairway but hanging anything there is kinda tricky I really don't want my hubby to break his neck, so by the table it is.

Here is a pic of it....

And where it hangs in our home....

Have a great weekend everyone!

Enjoy whatever season you are in ;)

GOD BLESS!

The picture collage is wonderful, and I think the dining room is a fabulous place for it.

For me, well, I kind of miss the winter, because it doesn't feel quite normal to be preparing for Christmas when it's hot outside. Well, it just reminds me that it's not what's going on outside, but what to do inside yourself to prepare for Christmas.

I love Winter as well, something about it is so peaceful yet when the roads are icy I don't enjoy it so much! I do love decorating for Christmas and remembering the reason for the season yet it is so easy to get caught up in all the hype...
I absolutely love the collage, it's so amazing! You have such a gift Louise, to capture memories and special moments is so important, and like you said to let your light shine, especially now in this not so pretty world! I love you and miss you! You go girl! And if you are ever bored and need some scrapbooking work you know where I live...at this rate I may never put all my pictures on paper especially the ones now on disks...oh to be organized and have time. I guess I should stop having babies and then I would but who knows even then I may not get to it, help Louise!!!!Lol

That picture is beautiful!

I am not a fan of winter. Fall and Spring, however, is my favorite. In Texas, they last all of two weeks. LOL

I love the music, Christmas baking and cookie exchanges/parties and the overall giving generousity and thoughtfulness on people's minds. I love the snow too...except the driving of course...
You made a beautiful collage...can I ask how you did that? and a fitting verse too!
have a great weekend!
hugs!

I LOVE Christmas...but over the last several years, I've let my growing depression (which worsens in winter) take away my joy for it. So this year I'm determined to focus on Christ's love and His birthday rather than on the weather so much.

We'll see how long it lasts...

Humm...my thoughts on winter? Since it seems to be the longest season here, I have to say I really hate it. I know, hate is a strong word, but I do. I like to have a "safe" and pretty layer for Christmas (seems we always travel on that day for family) morning but other than that, I'm good.

I love the canvas, what a NEAT idea, so creative. You and your family are beautiful:)I really enjoy your blog too!

Have a great weekend:)

This past week it was 82 - so no snow in sight. I do like the snow, but I don't like driving in it.

I love the wall hanging. It came out lovely - also you new header is beautiful.

What a perfect piece of "Personal Art" for your home. I love it, and also the color of your wall.

You are so talented...nice job.

Winter??? Now today in Southen CA was in the low 80's...cooler tomorrow. I'm loving it. It was cold and foggy up North by this time of year. Winter will come soon enough.

Watch your mailbox next week, dear!

Love the canvas!!! It's beautiful.

My favorite season is fall... the colors and weather... its the best. But, I do love the magic of Christmastime.... the lights, the spirit of giving, remembering Christ's birth, being with family and friends....

I can't believe you have snow already. We had 70 degree weather last week and it is upper 30s today. Brrrr...

I HATE winter....love Christmas, the music and the feeling but would totally be happy doing it in fall like weather at the least!!

The art work turned out awesome and I think the dining room does it way more justice...the heart of the house!!
